Soverighn mother to four fathers.
Each a testiment to her broken back
and her tough heels.
An equilibrium of love and hate.
Searching for the questions
which lead to the answers
they already know.
They already feel her pain.
They already know her strife
but choose to ignore the inevitability that one day
they will break her.
Wars waged over menial tasks,
Battles commenced over tiny mistakes.
Land is won and lost on such a constant basis,
that right becomes wrong
and wrong becomes the only way forward to sucess.
Blame settles in everyones agenda,
A constant rhyming of an echoing resistance.
A resistance to unite,
A resistance to reconciliate,
A resistance to recognise ones part.
Take a minute.
Breath.
Take another.
Familiarty clouds minds,
clouds judgement,
makes us feel like we are safe,
but we're not.
Any single moment can snatch you away.
Make you a myrtr,
make you a friend.
Bring us together.
Because we broke you.
We ripped you apart untill you gave up.
Untill all you were was ours.
Not yours, not theirs,
Ours.
When you cried in corners
we were the ones who left you there.
when you hid your face
we were the ones who exposed you for our
own entertainment.
No one is insignificant.
Because now you're gone.
And all the things you did have been noticed
And we break our backs doing what you did,
feeling what you felt.
