neighbor....
Trish was an addict...
deeply black and lamp post thin....
barely able to walk
death and demons just shining within
couldn't even be mad at her really
everyone knew she would steal from you
hell...she did it everyday from her friends
learned from watching
her common sense
if you let her in more than once
sure she'd do it again...
and I supposed she was a dyke....
but then maybe the cross dressing thing
made here ....transvestite...?
no matter...death had her hand
just counting the days....hours...minutes
one time...her and her friends
wanted to be outside my phone booth
"signifying"
and trying to borrow money too!
hell no! and fool...I get paid same as you!...I thought
I was too thru...
but calmly asked them
....when you on the phone
do I bother you?
no...
so when it's my 15 minutes
what's the deal...
what you want to do
cause I was broken hearted, unemployed
and homeless too (welfare hotel)
...just not in the mood
she mumbled something barely audible
and I left to walk long and chill
brought back 3 chicken wings and biscuit
shoved it thru the crack she made in her door
nothing said but...we were cool
just cause ...
in hell ....it was a neighborly
thing to do
