Floetry
(Flowing like Poetry)

Floetry, is when I put down what I feel,

So it can flow when I speak…

So you’ll understand where I’m coming from,

Where I’ve been and where I’m trying to go…

Then maybe, just maybe you’ll see my side of things,

What I’m trying to get across and

what I want out of life…

It might not include you,

or anyone else for that matter,

Because it’s my feelings I’m trying to get out in the open..

On occasion maybe no one will understand,

and my words will go misunderstood,

since I find my flow falling on deaf ears,

but that’s all right too, as long as I put it out there,

because at the end I’ll feel better,

and what I’m trying to say will finally be heard.

But do you hear me, can you flow with me?

I’m flowing as loud as I can,

But it might be time to put this to an end…

Due to the fact that I’m….. an individual,

I have a voice of my own,

I don’t need yours,

I need you to be here with me…

Here… not physically,

Here… not sarcastically,

Here… not emotionally,

Here on the same track of life with me…

Flowing poetically... harmoniously in tune with each other…

That’s what makes us a piece of Floetry….

Flowing in the same direction,

Heading for the same place,

Together….

Floetry,

Flowing like poetry.

Disappointed But In Love


As the dawn appears on my morning,

I can feel the sun embracing my face.

I stretch my body across the bed

In a place where I hoped you’d be.

Disappointed but in Love,

I manage to go on with my day,

Because I can feel you,

I feel your love in my heart,

and I remember the ways you touch me,

leaving marks of serenity on my soul.

I’m tranquil;

Our love keeps me there until we meet again

Because I know that when you breathe

It’s my chest that expands,

When you’re sad I cry for you, and

When I’m lonely a feeling comes over you and

My phone rings letting me know that everything will be all right.

But my nights are the toughest,

Although I seem to make it through I know it’s because of you.

Thoughts of me go through your mind as you lay in your bed,

sending me a feeling of comfort that brings me even closer to you,

Holding me and keeping me safe as I slumber.

You complete me as I do you,

making life easier and sweeter.

That’s why I chose to live disappointed but in Love

The Other Side

There’s a side of you no one knows

That side the Lord left untouched, preserved, and untainted

Because he knew I’d be in your life one day

This side of you is where you keep your true self

It’s spiritual, calm, and almost perfect

Inspiration flows better there

Blessing are stored there

You are at peace there

And I feel love, yeah… I do

I feel the satisfaction, the victory over the negative

The fight is over,

Come to the winner circle and claim you prize

Do not be afraid of what will be

Instead, Open your arms and feel what I have for you

Pray and except the blessings you are due

Because I do

I except you

Do you know what you’re missing?

Can you cross over and find the happiness you deserve?

Will you tap into it & reach for what is already yours?

I hope so!

Because, I’m waiting for you on the other side
